John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”
The Gospel
What is the gospel? The gospel is the good news of how God made a way for us to have a restored relationship with Him through Jesus. John 3:16 is our memory verse for this week because it is the GOOD NEWS. This week, we will start from the beginning, where sin separated us from God who is perfect and holy. We will move to Jesus’s birth and follow His life and finally, His death and resurrection. Everyday we will see how God had a plan: to save us from the punishment we deserve which is death and eternal separation from Him and offer us complete forgiveness and eternal life with Him (Romans 6:23).
I am praying for your children and mine to understand the great love God has for them. I pray that “the eyes of their hearts may be enlightened so that they will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.” Ephesians 1:18-19
