Merry Christmas

  • Jesus is known by many titles throughout the Bible. As we celebrate His first coming this month, we will look at many of the different names by which Jesus is known throughout the Bible. For us to celebrate Jesus, we need to make sure we really understand Whom we are celebrating.
  • As you go throughout the month studying the names of Jesus, I encourage you to make some sort of chart or something for your kids to see daily and be reminded of what they have been learning about Jesus.
  • Here are some ideas:
    • Names of Jesus paper chain
      • Write the name you studied that day on a strip of paper and add it to the chain.
    • Make a poster
      • Have your kids write or type the names of each Jesus on a colorful piece of paper, cut them out, and glue them to construction or scrapbook paper.
    • Make a banner
      • Write one name of Jesus on an index card or a piece of cardstock about 3″ x 5”. Once you have all the names on their own card, tape them to yarn, ribbon, or a piece of twine to make a cute banner.
Here is what we did a while back. It took all I had not to make it a little neater, but the kids took ownership and they really enjoyed working on it every day. We rotated who got to be the “poster person” for that day.
